Parolin Motorsport enjoyed a hugely productive weekend at the Leopard Circuit in Viterbo for Round 3 of the WSK Super Master Series, with conditions staying dry throughout and an excellent 18°C on Finals day. Against fiercely competitive fields, the Parolin group celebrated a headline OK-Junior Final victory for Antonio Pizzonia (Ward Racing), a double top-five in OK for Parolin Motorsport factory drivers William Calleja and Dean Hoogendoorn, and front-running pace and podium finishes across the Mini categories and OK-N Junior.
The starring moment came in OK-Junior, where Antonio Pizzonia (Ward Racing) completed a dominant event by converting pole position into a controlled Final win, having also won the Prefinal. Pizzonia set the pace early by topping Qualifying and carried that speed through the heats to arrive at Sunday’s races as the driver to beat. Parolin Motorsport’s factory drivers also showed strong fightback form in the Final, with Oskari Walle charging to 12th (gaining six places), Albert Tamm finishing 23rd after a weekend of recovery, and Gioele Girardello producing one of the strongest late moves to reach 19th, bouncing back from a tough Prefinal.
In OK, Parolin Motorsport’s factory effort was rewarded with an outstanding podium as William Calleja surged forward to finish 3rd, gaining seven places in the Final after a consistently solid build-up across the weekend. Alongside him, Dean Hoogendoorn added another excellent result with 5th in the Final, underlining the strength of the package and the team’s race-day execution. Ward Racing also featured strongly in the OK Final, with Benjamin Manach taking 7th after a penalty and Qarrar Firhand producing a notable recovery drive to 11th after gaining nine positions.
Parolin karts were a constant presence at the front of Mini U10, where the weekend combined outright speed with the fine margins that define the category. Parolin Motorsport’s Zayne Burgess showed top-tier pace across the event – fastest in Qualifying and a multiple heat winner – and finished 8th in the Final after a time penalty reshuffled the leading group. Team Babyrace secured a major result with Saha Miras Y Munoz taking victory in the Final, while Isaac El Haouti (Team Babyrace) added a strong 4th place. It was a tougher end to the weekend for Jayden Francisco (Team Babyrace), who was unable to reach the finish in the Final after running at the front and winning the Prefinal.
In OK-N Junior, the Parolin-powered squads were again prominent in the fight at the front, highlighted by Elton Hedfors (Modena Kart) scoring an excellent 2nd place in the Final. The class remained intensely competitive throughout, with Parolin representation also including Ioannis Kolovos (Modena Kart) in 10th, plus strong efforts from Matteo Turchiano (LA Motorsport) in 9th, Colton Schniegenberg (Ward Racing) in 13th, Leo Laitinen (Parolin Finland) in 15th, and Mattis Brageot (AKM) in 17th after gaining eight places.
The Mini categories delivered more rewards in Mini Gr3, where Nahyl El Gahoudi (Team Babyrace) climbed through to take 3rd in the Final and secure another podium for Parolin equipment. Parolin Motorsport’s Alexandr Machac showed particularly strong Sunday pace, producing a big climb in the Prefinal before finishing 15th in the Final.
In KZ2, Hou Zai Jiang (LA Motorsport) completed the weekend with a solid 9th place in the Final, gaining four positions and adding to the Parolin group’s spread of top results across the programme.
Marco Parolin reflected on the weekend’s performance and the value of delivering in strong conditions:
“The second WSK weekend in Viterbo was a very challenging test for the team, and in general for our equipment, which ultimately performed well. The race was affected by several changes in conditions, not only in terms of dry and wet weather, but also in terms of temperatures, and I am satisfied that our chassis proved to be versatile and achieved podiums and victories even with our partner teams. As for Parolin Motorsport, Calleja achieved his first well-deserved podium in OK, and Hoogendoorn continues to prove himself one of the most consistent drivers in the category, maintaining 3rd place in the championship. In Junior, bad luck struck Girardello, who was certainly on track for top results considering the speed he showed – unfortunately, a technical problem in one heat and a collision at the start of the Prefinal severely compromised his weekend. It was a similar scenario for Walle, who was very fast but paid dearly for a DNF in one of the heats. In the Mini category, Machac continues to improve, finishing in the top 15 this weekend and also fighting for top positions in the Prefinal, while Burgess had another impressive weekend, defending his lead in the championship.”
Parolin Motorsport now turns its attention to the next challenge, with the fourth round of the WSK Super Master Series at Lonato in two weeks’ time, where the team will look to build on its momentum and fight for more victories and podiums across the programme.
Parolin Motorsport and its partner teams enjoyed a standout opening round of the WSK Euro Series at Leopard Circuit Viterbo (12–14 February), converting front-running pace into three Final victories. Sasha Miras Y Munoz (Babyrace Driver Academy) took the win in Mini U10, Colton Schniegenberg (Ward Racing) won OK-N Junior, and Qarrar Firhand (Ward Racing) claimed victory in OK, where Ward Racing and Parolin also sealed a 1-2 finish with Benjamin Manach in 2nd.
The weekend was defined by rapidly changing conditions: Thursday Qualifying was run in the wet, Friday’s heats took place largely in fine spring conditions, and Saturday’s Finals were hit by further downpours, with race lengths reduced following a rain delay. In OK-N Junior, Parolin’s strength was underlined by a 100% Parolin podium, as Schniegenberg led home Modena Kart drivers Ioannis Kolovos and Elton Hedfors.
Three Finals won on Parolin equipment
In Mini U10, Babyrace Driver Academy’s Sasha Miras Y Munoz delivered a commanding performance from pole position, leading every lap to take the Final victory. Parolin Motorsport’s Zayne Burgess completed a strong weekend with 2nd place in the Final, while Babyrace’s Isaac El Haouti added further top-end depth with 4th. Babyrace also produced two major recovery drives: Jake Jordan Micallef climbed 14 places to finish 7th, and Max Zvarich gained 12 places to finish 10th.
Ward Racing’s Colton Schniegenberg controlled the OK-N Junior Final from the front to secure a decisive victory, leading every lap. The result capped a remarkable category performance for the brand: more than a quarter of the grid raced on Parolin chassis and the podium was 100% Parolin, with Modena Kart Racing drivers Ioannis Kolovos and Elton Hedfors joining Schniegenberg on the podium in 2nd and 3rd. Modena’s Alessandro Nanni completed the leading group in 4th, with team-mate Federico Mirabella charging through to 10th, gaining 11 places.
In OK, Ward Racing’s Qarrar Firhand delivered a composed wet-weather drive to win the Final for his first international victory, with team-mate Benjamin Manach completing a superb Parolin 1-2 finish.
Strength and depth across the weekend
Ward Racing continued its momentum in OK Junior with Antonio Pizzonia Jr climbing 10 places to finish 6th in the Final. Mark Pilipenko added a top-ten with 8th, while Blazej Kostrzewa finished 13th.
In Mini Gr.3, Babyrace Driver Academy’s Nahyl El Gahoudi secured a well-earned 3rd place in the Final and set the fastest lap of the event on Saturday, underlining the outright speed of the package in mixed conditions.
Ilia Mazo (Parolin Motorsport) finished 19th after running strongly in Qualifying with 9th overall, in what was an important step forward in experience, while Lenox Lockhart completed his debut weekend in 28th.
Marco Parolin said:
“Viterbo was a true mixed-conditions weekend and the whole paddock had to adapt quickly. To come away with three Final wins from different teams and categories is a fantastic reward for everyone’s work. I’m especially proud of the strength we showed in OK-N Junior, with so many Parolin chassis on the grid and a complete Parolin podium. That kind of depth is exactly what we work for – giving our teams and drivers competitive material everywhere.”
The teams and drivers return to Leopard Circuit Viterbo next weekend for Round 3 of the WSK Super Master Series, with colder weather forecast.
DRM Racing Team will compete in the 2026 IAME Euro Series on Parolin chassis, marking an important step in the Malaysian team’s international development. After a series of outstanding results across the Asian karting scene, DRM is ready to bring its experience and winning momentum to one of Europe’s most competitive single-make championships.
Recent triumphs at the IAME Asia Pacific Games and the IAME Final Games in Macao have confirmed DRM as one of the leading teams in the region, highlighting the strength of its structure and driver development program.
The move to the IAME Euro Series represents a significant sporting and strategic step for the team. Within this project, DRM will work in close cooperation with Parolin Motorsport as a partner team, benefiting from technical support, know-how and a direct link to the factory environment. The objective is to ensure professional standards while building a structured pathway for Asian drivers aiming to enter the European racing environment through the IAME platform.
This collaboration further strengthens the long-standing relationship between DRM and Parolin, active for nearly a decade, and contributes to the growing presence of Parolin chassis within the IAME Series, an increasingly important platform in the global karting landscape.
DRM Team Manager, Mohd Rohairijaz, commented:
“Europe is the highest benchmark in world karting. Racing with Parolin Chassis and receiving factory support is a strong vote of confidence in our team. We are taking this step to prove that Asian teams have the capability, discipline, and technical strength to compete at the highest level. This is not just about participation — it is about performance, credibility, and long-term growth.”
Marco Parolin, Marketing Director of Parolin Racing Kart, added:
“In a karting world that is becoming increasingly global, it is essential to build strategic partnerships with structures like DRM, one of the most prestigious teams in Asia and a partner we have been working with for nearly a decade. Their structure, particularly specialized in the IAME Series, will represent a strategic gateway for Asian drivers looking to take their first steps in European karting within a highly professional environment.”
With DRM Racing entering the IAME Euro Series on Parolin chassis, the partnership takes a further step in its international development. The 2026 season will mark the beginning of this new chapter on the European stage.
Parolin delivered another strong weekend in the WSK Super Master Series at Sarno, converting pace into race victories, podium finishes and significant forward progress across multiple categories and teams, despite a weekend shaped by constantly changing weather conditions.
Friday’s Qualifying sessions were run in wet conditions, immediately testing adaptability across the paddock. Conditions improved for Saturday’s Heats, which took place mostly dry, before heavy rain during Sunday morning warm-up left the circuit soaked for the Prefinals. By the time the Finals began, the track had dried once again, allowing for clean and decisive racing.
The headline result came in OK, where Dean Hoogendoorn delivered a controlled and authoritative drive to win the Final for Parolin Motorsport. Running at the front throughout, Hoogendoorn managed the race pace confidently and pulled clear to secure a landmark victory.
That result moves Hoogendoorn up to 3rd in the championship standings, closing in on the leaders as the points available increase round by round.
Behind him, Benjamin Manach produced a solid drive to finish 8th for Ward Racing. William Calleja and Firhand Qarrar both saw their Finals end early following separate incidents, bringing an abrupt end to otherwise encouraging weekends.
Parolin Motorsport success continued in Mini U10 with Zayne Burgess delivering a standout victory in the Final. Competitive throughout the weekend in mixed conditions, Burgess judged the closing stages perfectly to secure the win in a closely fought race. With that result, Burgess now leads the Mini U10 championship.
Parolin karts also featured prominently behind him, with Jayden Francisco finishing 2nd for Babyrace Driver Academy after running at the front throughout. Max Zvarich crossed the line 5th on the road following a strong drive but was classified 10th after a post-race penalty, capping a performance that underlined his pace in the leading group.
Parolin Motorsport enjoyed a highly competitive OK Junior weekend, led by Giacomo Giusto, who delivered a mature and controlled drive to finish 2nd in the Final.
Further depth came from Gioele Girardello, who finished 5th and set the fastest lap of the race, confirming his outright speed. Oskari Walle also produced a strong recovery drive, gaining nine positions to finish 11th in the Final after a challenging start to the weekend.
Parolin equipment was again a constant presence at the front of OK-N Junior. Colton Schniegenberg secured a podium finish in 3rd for Ward Racing, while Modena Kart Racing drivers Federico Mirabella and Ioannis Kolovos followed closely in 4th and 6th.
The depth of Parolin talent in the category was further highlighted by Leo Laitinen finishing 7th for Parolin Finland and Alessandro Nanni taking 8th for Modena Kart Racing. Elton Hedfors, who had been targeting a stronger result after showing front-running pace earlier in the weekend, finished 10th after his event was compromised by a heat incident that was not of his own making.
Additional highlights included Luigi D’Ascoli setting the fastest lap of the Final, while Mattis Brageot gained 14 positions to finish 14th, completing a strong recovery drive.
In Mini Gr.3, Parolin-powered drivers again showed strong racecraft through the field. Mateo Garcia Patiño delivered one of the standout recovery drives of the category, gaining 14 places to finish 13th in the Final for Babyrace Driver Academy.
Reflecting on the Sarno weekend, Marco Parolin said:
“Sarno was another very positive weekend for us, even with the conditions changing constantly. Winning in OK with Dean and again in Mini U10 with Zayne is something very special.
I am also happy for Giusto’s first OKJ podium – already in La Conca he showed a great potential and this weekend he capitalised on it.
What makes me particularly happy is to see so many of our customer and partner teams fighting at the front and on the podium, especially in the junior categories. This is always our main goal – to make sure the material is competitive for everyone, not just the factory team. The depth of performance we saw this weekend is very encouraging for the rest of the season.”
With victories, podium finishes and growing championship momentum as the points on offer increase, Parolin Motorsport leaves Sarno strongly positioned as the focus now shifts to the start of the WSK Euro Series at Viterbo this weekend. Qualifying begins on Thursday, with the Finals taking place on Saturday, as the season continues to build pace.
