The 2026 season will mark the beginning of a new collaboration between Parolin Racing Kart and Ward Racing, the renowned Swedish team founded by Joakim Ward with a long-standing experience in international karting. Such an agreement represents another prestigious milestone in the ongoing growth process and international expansion of the Parolin brand.
The agreement will go beyond racing activities and will also include a commercial collaboration. To celebrate this partnership, an exclusive “black” chassis line has been designed by Parolin. The new special edition will be distributed exclusively by Ward Racing in the Scandinavian countries and is planned to become available in other international markets at a later stage.
“We are proud to announce this collaboration with Ward Racing, one of the most iconic teams in international karting,” said Marco Parolin.
“I have always admired the Ward family for their professionalism, dedication and integrity. Being able to work together on this project is truly motivating and represents another important step in the growth of our brand.”
Joakim Ward also commented on the agreement:
“We look forward to a new chapter in our karting journey. As a family-run team, we are proud to join forces with Parolin Racing and their family. We share the same values and vision, united by a common strive for success. We are grateful to everyone who has made this collaboration possible and have strong confidence in our future together.”
The first on-track appearance of Ward Racing with Parolin colours is scheduled for the opening round of the WSK Super Master Series at La Conca, running from January 21 to 25. From there, the Swedish team will commit to a full programme across the international karting calendar.
Parolin Motorsport is proud to announce that, after recently completing five successful seasons in international karting with the factory team, Christian Costoya takes the next important step in his career by entering the McLaren Driver Development Programme.
Following several years of races and achievements in karting, Christian Costoya is preparing to make his single-seater debut in 2026, and his admission into the McLaren Driver Development Programme represents a fundamental step in this transition. In fact, one of the most prestigious brands in motorsport will provide dedicated support for Christian’s move into formula racing and for the continuation of his career.
Born in 2010, Christian has been one of the standout young talents to emerge from the Parolin Motorsport team, competing as a factory driver for the majority of his karting career. From the international MINI classes to the Junior and Senior categories, he developed his skills under the Parolin banner and grew within the team to become one of the leading drivers on the world stage.
The collaboration between Costoya and Parolin Motorsport produced an impressive list of achievements, including multiple WSK victories and major international titles. After concluding a couple of successful seasons in MINI, in 2022 Christian became the third Parolin driver to join Nicolas Todt’s All Road Management, following in the footsteps of Gabriele Minì and James Wharton. Costoya then showed his potential in OKJ, finishing runner-up in the 2023 FIA Karting World Championship as well as in the 2024 European Championship.
Christian’s debut season in OK, the premier class of single-speed karting, further proved the efficiency of the work carried out throughout his years with Parolin Motorsport. Costoya won the WSK Euro Series before being crowned European champion and also managed to secure five victories in a row between May and July. The 2025 season was thus defined by speed and consistency, serving as the perfect prelude to Christian’s entry into the McLaren Driver Development Programme.
Parolin Motorsport thanks Christian for his dedication throughout all these years with the team and congratulates him on this significant milestone. The entire company is proud to have contributed to his development and looks forward to following his progress as he enters the next stage of his sporting journey.
Parolin Motorsport and its partner teams concluded the 2025 season with another weekend of strong performances at the final round of the WSK Final Cup at Lonato. Qualifying on Friday took place in wet conditions, but the rest of the event was run in dry yet very cold weather, and across these changing circumstances drivers using Parolin equipment reached Finals in every category, securing podium finishes in OK-N and OK-N Junior, leading laps in Mini U10, and confirming again the depth of performance across the factory squad and its satellite operations.
In OK-N, LA Motorsport’s Matteo Melis delivered one of the standout drives of the weekend to finish 2nd, only 0.411s from victory after a decisive move into the top three in the closing laps. Behind him, Federico Rossi (AKM Motorsport) produced a strong run to 4th, marking another top-five finish for the Parolin/TM package. LA Motorsport’s Lorenzo D’Amico also secured a solid result with 12th, while Fabio Ferlicca (AKM) and Miguel Paco (LA Motorsport) completed the group of Parolin finalists.
The OK-N Junior category was again one of the most competitive of the event, and the Modena Kart Racing Team placed three drivers inside the top ten. Federico Mirabella finished 3rd after a tight three-way battle at the front, closely followed by team-mates Alessandro Nanni in 10th and Nojus Stasionis in 13th, the latter also setting the fastest lap of the race with 47.551s. Modena’s depth was further underlined by Elton Hedfors finishing 19th after being unable to set a time in Qualifying.
In Mini U10, Zayne Burgess (Parolin Motorsport) once again proved his front-running speed by leading the race early and crossing the line first after the final-lap battles, but finished 10th after a five-second penalty. The category was won by Nahyl El Gahoudi (Babyrace Driver Academy) on a Parolin kart, with Nicolò Pacillo (Babyrace Driver Academy) completing an excellent day for the team in 3rd after a tight finish.
The Mini Gr.3 Final also featured notable results from Babyrace Driver Academy, with Stan Ratajski taking an excellent 2nd place, and Liam Nachawati close behind in 5th after a race shaped by repeated position changes in the leading group.
Zarief Rayqal and Bruno Blanco qualified for the Final in the OK category but saw their hopes compromised by the intensity of the midfield pack. Rayqal brought his Parolin home in 24th, while Blanco retired on the opening lap and was classified 33rd.
In OK-Junior, Oskari Walle’s weekend promise was undone in the Final after being caught in an early incident that forced him to retire on the opening lap. He was classified 33rd despite strong pace earlier in the event.
Reflecting on the weekend, Marco Parolin said:
“The last round of WSK Final Cup in Lonato was the final act of our racing season, and I was satisfied to witness a strong Parolin presence across the different categories in an event that accounted together nearly 400 pilots. This is a testament of the great trust that several partner teams put in the Parolin product and we are happy to see them performing well, including the win for Babyrace Driver Academy in U10 and the podiums for LA Motorsport (OKN) and Modena (OKNJ). With regards to our team, we have to mention the strong performance of Burgess in U10, winner of the Prefinal and then penalized in the Final after crossing the line on first. In OKJ the speed was promising, but contacts and DNF did not allow our drivers to display their true potential. However we close our 2025 with satisfaction, boasting one more European trophy on our shelves, and a constant growth of the Parolin brand.”
Parolin Motorsport now looks ahead to its 2026 programme, building on a season that delivered podiums and victories across all international categories and confirmed the strength of the Parolin chassis in every age group.
Parolin Motorsport continued its strong end to the season at the second round of the 2025 WSK Final Cup at Cremona. The factory team and satellite operations once again demonstrated pace across all categories, claiming podium finishes in OK-Junior and OK-N Junior, and top-ten results in OK and Mini U10.
Parolin was among the front-runners from the start of the weekend in OK-Junior as Oskari Walle qualified strongly and maintained that pace throughout the heats and Prefinal to secure a place on the front row for the Final. In the decisive race, he fought consistently among the leaders, setting the event record with a lap of 47.999s and finishing 3rd, confirming the competitiveness of the Parolin-TM package. Giacomo Giusto also impressed with 7th after gaining 10 places, while Juan Garciarce gained a total of 27 places during the Prefinal and Final.
Zarief Rayqal was a revelation in OK, qualifying 9th overall, taking 5th in the Prefinal before a solid performance to take 8th in the Final, maintaining strong pace throughout a closely fought race.
In OK-N Junior, the Modena Kart Racing Team almost placed two drivers on the podium for Parolin when Nojus Stasionis crossed the line 1st before a three-second penalty placed him 6th. Ruzgar Evci finished 2nd, setting the fastest lap of the race at 48.647s and missing victory by just 0.296s.
Of the Mini drivers, Zayne Burgess once again fought at the front of Mini U10, finishing 6th as part of the lead group.
Babyrace Driver Academy secured victory and a further podium finish in the Mini Gr.3 Final, underlining the exceptional pace of the Parolin-IAME equipment on the technical Cremona circuit. In Mini U10, Parolin customer teams also delivered outstanding results, with Eetu Koramo (Parolin Finland) finishing 3rd and Sasha Miras y Muñoz (Babyrace Driver Academy) taking 2nd, both within two seconds of the winner. These results confirm Parolin’s dominance in the youngest categories and the enduring competitiveness of its chassis across multiple teams.
Parolin Motorsport will conclude its 2025 international season at the final round of the WSK Final Cup, to be held at Lonato from 21st-23rd November, where the team will aim to build on its strong results and finish the year on a high note.
Parolin Motorsport began the 2025 WSK Final Cup with a weekend of strong performances and outright speed at Franciacorta. The team featured prominently across the Mini U10, OK-Junior and OK categories, while Parolin chassis also reached the podium with Modena Kart and shone in the hands of other partner teams.
In Mini U10, Zayne Burgess was among the stars of the event. After a superb Qualifying and two heat wins, he took victory in Prefinal B and finished just a quarter of a second from the win in the Final, finishing 4th overall. Muhammad Wibowo delivered one of the biggest recoveries of the weekend, climbing from the back of the field after not setting a time in Qualifying to take 8th in Prefinal A and 21st in the Final with a gain of 14 positions. Alexandr Machac also showed consistency in the heats to finish 14th overall before finishing 33rd in the Final after a first lap clash.
In OK-Junior, Oskari Walle confirmed Parolin’s competitiveness with a 6th-place finish in the Final after running near the front all weekend. Gioele Girardello impressed with two heat 2nd places and set the fastest lap of the Final at 48.623s, recovering to 17th after a Prefinal DNF. Giacomo Giusto gained seven positions to take 28th after a spoiler penalty, while Juan Garciarce retired on the first lap.
In OK, Bruno Blanco underlined the potential of the Parolin-TM package with 7th in Qualifying and competitive pace throughout, despite a challenging series of heats that left him 30th in the Final.
The Parolin chassis shone again in the OK-N Junior category with the Modena Kart Racing Team. Nojus Stasionis delivered a brilliant drive to 3rd place, only 0.12s from victory and with one of the fastest laps of the race.
“Franciacorta once again proved how competitive the WSK Final Cup can be, and I’m pleased with how our factory and satellite teams performed. Zayne Burgess fought for victory in Mini U10, Oskari Walle and Gioele Girardello showed excellent pace in OK-Junior, and Bruno Blanco continued to gain experience in OK”, commented Marco Parolin.
“Our partners also played a key role in representing Parolin across the paddock. The Modena Kart team achieved a well-deserved podium with Nojus Stasionis in OK-N Junior, LA Motorsport brought Parolin into the KZ2 top ten, and Babyrace demonstrated our Mini chassis’ pace with several strong results. The overall speed, consistency and teamwork across the Parolin family give us strong momentum going into the final races of the year.”
Parolin Motorsport has begun an exciting new collaboration with AKM Motorsport, strengthening its presence in the OK-N and OKN-Junior category. The partnership immediately delivered promising results at Franciacorta, where Federico Rossi produced a strong performance in his debut outing. Running consistently inside the top ten throughout the weekend, Rossi showcased the pace and drivability of the Parolin/TM package in the national engine class, confirming the potential of the new technical and sporting alliance between Parolin Motorsport and AKM Motorsport.
The next event will be the second round of the WSK Final Cup, which will take place in Cremona from 7th-9th November.
AKM Motorsport is set to run Parolin-branded equipment from the final part of the current season, in preparation for 2026.
With a new technical package at its disposal, the team will focus its efforts on the OKN and OKNJ categories, as well as the OK and OKJ classes at international level, where it will operate as a satellite team of Parolin Motorsport.
The partnership strengthens Parolin’s presence in top-level national and international karting and offers young drivers a direct pathway from karting to single-seaters, where AKM Motorsport is already active with its own structure.
“Both Kimi and I,” said Marco Antonelli, Team Principal of AKM Motorsport, “are delighted to begin this new chapter with such a prestigious brand as Parolin, with whom Kimi took his very first steps in karting. We’re confident that together we can achieve excellent results, with the shared goal of identifying and supporting new talents along their journey.”
Marco Parolin, Marketing Director of Parolin Racing Kart, added: “We’re pleased to announce the start of our collaboration with Marco and Kimi Antonelli for the karting division of AKM Motorsport. They share our deep passion for karting and our commitment to passing on experience to young drivers taking their first steps in professional racing. This partnership adds further value to our racing programmes, where scouting and nurturing young talents have always played a key role.”
Looking ahead to 2026, AKM Motorsport is currently refining its organisation and finalising its driver line-up, with the aim of being fully prepared for the challenges to come in the OKN / OKNJ and OK / OKJ categories.
Further updates will follow regarding the development of the project and the team’s sporting plans for the next season.
Parolin chassis once again proved their competitiveness on the world stage as the FIA Karting World Championship unfolded at Franciacorta, Italy. The factory Parolin Motorsport team, supported by satellite squads Modena Kart and LA Motorsport, delivered strong performances across all three gearbox classes.
From fighting at the front in KZ with Lorenzo Travisanutto to podium contention in KZ2 Masters for Riccardo Nalon, Parolin equipment demonstrated its speed, versatility, and resilience throughout the weekend.
After winning a Qualifying Heat and his Super Heat, KZ driver Lorenzo Travisanutto retired halfway through the Final after a heavy collision while battling for 3rd. Matteo Viganò fought from 33rd on the grid after a difficult Super Heat to finish 15th, showing consistent pace. Just ahead of him was Alessio Piccini of the Modena Kart team, gaining 10 places, while Kimi Tani of LA Motorsport finished 16th on his debut in the top category after a top five Qualifying position earlier in the weekend.
In KZ2 Anatoly Khavalkin (Modena Kart) finished 18th, gaining six places despite a spoiler penalty.
In the KZ2 Masters category Riccardo Nalon (Erre Esse Motorsport) finished just off the podium in 4th, driving an excellent race to stay with the leaders in a close race among the drivers aged 35 and over. Daniel Bray (Modena Kart) came home 13th, showing good recovery pace after a tricky qualifying phase while Marco Pislor (Erre Esse Motorsport) retired after two laps following contact.
Marco Parolin, Team Manager
“We confirmed the strong potential of our latest KZ package at Franciacorta. Travisanutto and Viganò both had the pace to challenge at the front, and it was rewarding to see our satellite teams also performing at a high level. Piccini, Tani, and Khavalkin all showed the competitiveness of the Parolin-TM combination in very different race situations. In Masters, Nalon’s near-podium underlined how consistent and adaptable our chassis is across categories. This event reinforces the progress we’ve made and is the foundation for our next developments.”
Parolin Motorsport and satellite team drivers finished on the podium in all categories at the last round of the Champions of the Future Shifter series at Franciacorta, just a week before the vital World Championship meeting at the same northern Italian circuit. The weather was fine all weekend but with a definite autumnal chill in the air.
KZ driver Lorenzo Travisanutto started the weekend with 13th in Qualifying, improving after the heats then taking 8th in the Super Heat to give him 7th on the grid for the Final. He drove a strong, consistent race and finished 3rd, avoiding the contact and penalties that held back his rivals.
Matteo Viganò was as fast as usual but was involved in a crash at the start of the Final. Alessio Piccini (Modena Kart) made progress in the heats after qualifying 18th but a crash early on in the Super Heat made his job harder in the Final. However he battled through to 10th, up six places.
In KZ2 Kimi Tani (LA Motorsport) was a brilliant 2nd in the Final after consistent high performance all weekend. He had qualified fastest in his session then took five top three positions in his heats, including a win. He had crossed the line first in his Super Heat before being hit with a spoiler penalty.
Ultra-rapid Riccardo Nalon (Erre Esse Motorsport) finished 3rd with the fastest lap of the race in the KZ2 Master category after qualifying on top of his group and finishing in the top three in all three heats and his Super Heat. Daniel Bray (Modena Kart) just missed out on the podium, only two tenths behind Nalon.
Marco Parolin’s analysis
“The COTF in Franciacorta was a useful occasion to fine tune our package before the most important race for shifter karts. The feeling with the LeCont tyres seemed positive, in fact our Invader chassis was competitive across the three classes. Congratulations to the three drivers who managed to step on the podium, Travisanutto, Tani with LA Motorsport, and Nalon with ErreEsse Motorsport.”
The Parolin team are now focusing on the World event this coming weekend – aiming to add more titles to the 2025 tally in the KZ World Championship, the KZ2 World Cup and the KZ2 International Masters’ Super Cup.
Parolin Motorsport showed both promise and resilience at the FIA Karting World Championship in Kristianstad, Sweden, where the demanding Åsum Ring delivered a weekend of mixed conditions.
The Kristianstad circuit combines high-speed sections with technical sequences that relentlessly test drivers and teams. On Sunday, rain showers alternated with bright spells, making tyre choices and setup decisions particularly important, and Parolin’s drivers fought at the sharp end in both OK and OK-Junior.
In the OK category, Spanish driver Christian Costoya reaffirmed his status as one of the top drivers of the category all season, having already secured the 2025 FIA Karting European Championship title at the start of August. In Qualifying in Kristianstad, he set the 7th fastest time overall and was 12th in the intermediate classification. After the Super Heat where he finished 11th, Costoya underlined his talent by setting the fastest lap of the World Championship Final, carving his way up to 9th before a front fairing penalty relegated him to 14th. Despite the frustration, his pace within the category’s finest was undeniable.
In the OK-Junior World Championship, Oskari Walle delivered the team’s highlight. After 11th in his group in Qualifying, he steadily climbed the order through the heats and Super Heat, securing a grid position of 22nd for Sunday. In the Final, Walle excelled in wheel-to-wheel combat, slicing his way into the top 15 and finally taking the flag in 11th place, one of his best FIA Karting results to date.
Giacomo Giusto also impressed with a top-10 Qualifying time and solid heats that placed him in the top 15 after Saturday. His Final, however, was marred by penalties and contact, dropping him to 30th. Bruno Blanco progressed to the Final and finished 25th after consistent drives in the heats, while Priam Bruno and Alessandro Truchot gained valuable experience but were unable to make the decisive cut.
Team Manager Marco Parolin reflected on the weekend:
“The World Championship is always a tough test, and this year’s event proved no different. We leave Sweden encouraged by Christian’s raw pace in OK – setting the fastest lap in the Final was a statement of his potential. He has already brought Parolin Motorsport huge pride this season by winning the European Championship, and his performance here confirmed once again why he is one of the best drivers in the category. In Juniors, Oskari’s fighting drive into 11th was equally rewarding, while Giacomo showed he can run with the very best, even if luck wasn’t on his side in the Final. Across the team, every driver made progress, and that’s the foundation we build on. We are proud of how our drivers adapted to changing conditions and never stopped pushing. The standard in FIA Karting is incredibly high, but weekends like this remind us that we are right there, ready to fight for top results.”
Parolin Motorsport were highly satisfied with Oskari Walle’s 3rd place at the final round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series in OK-Junior in only his third international race, taking a Super Heat win on the way.
Although Christian Costoya was unable to score his usual superlative result in the Final after a mishap at the start, the team can be happy with his excellent Qualifying and heats results and his Super Heat win.
OK-Junior
Oskari Walle was at the sharp end immediately in Qualifying with 4th in his group, against much more experienced drivers, and he kept up the momentum with a peak of 2nd place in a heat. After starting his Super Heat 6th, he waited for his opportunity to move up to 3rd and then 2nd, before taking the lead two laps from the end and pulling away to win by a second. This promoted Walle to 4th on the grid for the Final and he went from strength to strength, taking 3rd after challenging for the lead and continually looking for any opportunity to move up.
Juan Garciarce also qualified 4th in his group and scored a 2nd place in a heat, although his progress was slowed by racing incidents. He managed to qualify for the Final then gained no less than 12 positions. Priam Bruno also suffered in the heats but he made a strong recovery in his Super Heat, only for another incident to put a premature end to his Final. Alessandro Truchot also deserves a mention after qualifying 5th in his group and taking a 3rd in a heat, but two DNFs meant he couldn’t reach his potential.
OK
Christian Costoya started the weekend with 2nd overall in Qualifying, then took pole for Super Heat 2 with three wins in the heats. He won this by leading from lights to flag, but in the Final Costoya was pushed out wide at the start and dropped down the order. He had been working his way back through the field but a spoiler penalty after robust pack racing dropped him to 19th. Despite this, Costoya has finished 3rd in the title race, a testament to his consistency throughout the series.
Team Manager Marco Parolin’s analysis
“The last round of Champions of the Future was a useful meeting to hone the last few things before the World Championship, and it was nice to climb on the OKJ podium with Walle, at his first race with the factory team. He impressed us with a consistent performance despite is little experience in the class. Besides this, the performances of our juniors were pretty competitive, marking a great improvement done throughout the season. In Senior, It was a shame for Costoya, who dominated the whole weekend but had to face some setbacks in the final – we are still investigating what could have possibly gone wrong as we lacked the usual pace he demonstrated all week long. Despite the unfortunate final, he still ended third in the series, confirming once again his outstanding seasonal shape.”
Heading for the World Championship
Parolin can now be confident in its preparations for the World Championship at Kristianstad this coming weekend, with indisputable evidence of speed in both the OK and OK-Junior categories.
