Parolin Motorsport is proud to announce that, after recently completing five successful seasons in international karting with the factory team, Christian Costoya takes the next important step in his career by entering the McLaren Driver Development Programme.
Following several years of races and achievements in karting, Christian Costoya is preparing to make his single-seater debut in 2026, and his admission into the McLaren Driver Development Programme represents a fundamental step in this transition. In fact, one of the most prestigious brands in motorsport will provide dedicated support for Christian’s move into formula racing and for the continuation of his career.
Born in 2010, Christian has been one of the standout young talents to emerge from the Parolin Motorsport team, competing as a factory driver for the majority of his karting career. From the international MINI classes to the Junior and Senior categories, he developed his skills under the Parolin banner and grew within the team to become one of the leading drivers on the world stage.
The collaboration between Costoya and Parolin Motorsport produced an impressive list of achievements, including multiple WSK victories and major international titles. After concluding a couple of successful seasons in MINI, in 2022 Christian became the third Parolin driver to join Nicolas Todt’s All Road Management, following in the footsteps of Gabriele Minì and James Wharton. Costoya then showed his potential in OKJ, finishing runner-up in the 2023 FIA Karting World Championship as well as in the 2024 European Championship.
Christian’s debut season in OK, the premier class of single-speed karting, further proved the efficiency of the work carried out throughout his years with Parolin Motorsport. Costoya won the WSK Euro Series before being crowned European champion and also managed to secure five victories in a row between May and July. The 2025 season was thus defined by speed and consistency, serving as the perfect prelude to Christian’s entry into the McLaren Driver Development Programme.
Parolin Motorsport thanks Christian for his dedication throughout all these years with the team and congratulates him on this significant milestone. The entire company is proud to have contributed to his development and looks forward to following his progress as he enters the next stage of his sporting journey.
